Icons. Flos Celebrates Lighting Icons by Masters of Design

This is a visual story, curated by Chief Creative Officer Barbara Corti and artistically directed by Omar Sosa of Apartamento Studios, featuring twelve lamps designed by masters of design. The photos were taken during everyday activities by Daniel Riera.

At the end of September 2024, the visual story "Icons" will debut across all the brand's digital and traditional channels, and in photographic, paper and video formats. To enrich the visual narrative, Flos has created a splendid booklet with an introductory essay by Deyan Sudjic. It’s destined to become a precious tool and a gift for design enthusiasts and scholars.

The launch of “Icons” aims to celebrate, and also update, the historical design of Flos icons. This series of photos presents twelve famous lamps inside Milanese buildings designed between the 1930s and 1960s. Daniel Riera's evocative and essential photographs show these design objects in perfect dialogue with Italian architecture, celebrating their relevance and contemporary style in design spaces.
