New Lokum Coffee Tables by Acerbis

Dutch designer Sabine Marcelis has reworked traditional blown glass techniques with her new collection of Lokum coffee tables for Acerbis.

The Lokum coffee tables, available in rectangular and square versions, are made of hand-blown glass and offered in different colours. These beautiful tables can be used alone or in groups. It’s easy to create unique and customized configurations, which reveals the designer's ability to transform materials into works of art.

Acerbis has always collaborated with famous designers, and this has led them to build a legacy that includes people like Nanda Vigo, Vico Magistretti and Gianfranco Frattini. The company is known for its propensity to work with new, emerging figures, thus expressing its desire for innovation and the challenge of traditional thinking. Hence the collaboration with the innovative designer Sabine Marcelis, who decided to use traditional materials fashioned with new techniques.

Sabine Marcelis is recognized for her poetics in the use of reflective surfaces and iridescent shades of colour. She created the delightful small Lokum tables with ethereal aesthetics, in which light and colour blend in an intense material dialogue.
