Carl Hansen & Søn's Iconic Radio House Mirror VLA62 Re-released

Carl Hansen & Søn is presenting a re-edition of the iconic mirror Radio House VLA62, made of solid FSC-certified™ oak for a contemporary Nordic aesthetic.

This full-length mirror consists of eight pieces carved to ensure the continuity of the grain.

Hand sanded for a smooth surface that is pleasant to the touch, the deep, concave frame features organic corners that almost envelop the mirror. Vilhelm Lauritzen's distinctive design exhibits soft and functional aesthetics with natural curves.

After the relaunch of the famous renewed series Vega Chair and Foyer, and as a continuation of the collaboration with Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects, the brand has introduced an elegant modernist mirror that was originally created in 1945 for the Royal Retiring Room of the Radio House in Copenhagen.

This room was the hall of the royal box that overlooked the concert hall of the building, which is now home to the Royal Danish Academy of Music. Every piece of furniture in this space was specially designed by Lauritzen, as was the entire building. It’s a timeless mirror, perfect in any classic or modern context.
