The Sofa with Infinite Transformations: Sausage by Willo Perron
Sausage is a Limited Edition from BD Barcelona presented at 3 Days of Design in Copenhagen. This interesting piece represents a brave fusion of creativity, fashion, play and comfort.
The Sausage Sofa, designed by Willo Perron, is a structureless sofa that can be positioned as desired, and it was conceived as a playground for adults and children.
Officially launched at the Moon pop-up space at Tullinsgade 21, Copenhagen, the sofa looks like a long flexible tubular roll. Willo Perron’s Sausage Sofa can constant change shape, offering endless configurations: braided, rolled, knotted, folded. Its versatility demonstrates Perron's visionary approach, and makes the piece easily adaptable to different environments. Upholstery choices include soft black leather, rust-coloured wide-ribbed corduroy, or lightweight water-repellent canvas.
"Sausage is not for formal conversations. It's to have fun and maybe get lost in its forms," says Perron, highlighting the use of the sofa in relaxed and friendly environments. This feature encourages spontaneous creative interaction, as it challenges traditional seating conventions.
