Outdoor Minimalism: New Solutions by Carl Hansen & Søn

The Carl Hansen & Søn brand has expanded its Outdoor collection with the Embrace chair and the Timbur outdoor bench.

The Embrace chair, designed by the EOOS design team, is an outdoor dining chair that recalls the shape of the famous E005 Embrace armchair. Designed to offer the highest standards of outdoor comfort, the chair is made of magnificent untreated teak, which develops a unique patina over time. Perfect in combination with the E022 Embrace dining table, available in three sizes.

The Timbur outdoor bench, on the other hand, was designed by the Icelandic designer Gudmundur Ludvik. The name “Timbur” means “wood” in Icelandic. It reflects the project’s simplicity and functional robustness. This simple, harmonious piece communicates tranquility and durability. Ludvik, known for his approach to Icelandic minimalism, is a master at enhancing the beauty of wood.

The generous armrests can be used like small tables because they provide enough space for a cup and saucer. This piece is made of FSC™ certified teak, and it stands out for its minimalist architectural aesthetics.
