Pale Rose by Luis Pulsen: Lightness and Innovation
The Pale Rose collection presents the iconic designs of the brand in a modern colour palette with shades of pink for splendid pendant and table lamps.
The Radiohus VL 45 pendant lamp was originally designed by the Danish architect Vilhelm Lauritzen for the Danish Broadcasting House, known as the Radiohuset. The original design of the 1940s exhibits a suspension part in brass and a blown glass screen with four layers. Today, these layers are coloured pale pink, and identical in their modernist forms.
Moreover, we can admire another pink lamp, the PH Artichoke, designed in 1958 by Poul Henningsen for the Langelinie Pavilionen, a modernist restaurant in Copenaghen. It is still the centrepiece of their dining room.
Each of the 72 leaves on the PH Artichoke lamp is carefully mounted by hand onto the frame. This gives the piece the distinctive form that inspired its name while also ensuring that the light is free from glare from every angle.
