El Dom Cassina

Hannes Wettstein developed the 370 El Dom table for Cassina.

The 370 El Dom table is an element of conversation and unification between environments and the people who use it owing to the firmness of the volumes and the basic geometry of the lines.

The anchoring system for the table is cleverly built into the top and the side parts, making it a functional example of fine craftsmanship. Superior table steadiness is a given with this configuration.

It appears as though the top and the legs were extruded as one continuous piece of wood, attributed to the smoothness of the joint between them. The enormous solid fir top gives off an air of solid grandeur, which is counteracted by the gradually narrowing poplar plywood legs.

The iconic furniture is made even more stylish by the exposed wood grain.
