The Cotone sofa is distinguished by its clean, simple lines, sturdy construction, and unusually deep seat. The sofa was created by the Bouroullec brothers, Ronan and Erwan, for Cassina.
A seat with a minimalist external appearance and a clever and novel interior construction is brought to life through the minimal combination of several upholstery pieces.
The supporting framework of the Cotone sofa is made out of anodized aluminium, and it enables the sofa to be upholstered in a modular configuration with a low backrest, as well as in a two- and three-seater configuration with a high backrest. For the sake of personalized comfort, the armrest contains an internal mechanism that allows the side cushions to be moved.
The elastic straps and varying cushion densities guarantee comfort and support. The replaceable cover comes in two different materials: leather and fabric.
Cotton's minimalist and functional design translates well to today's numerous couch-based interior decoration schemes.
