Blitz B&B Italia

The Blitz table, designed by Mario Bellini for the B&B Italia collection, is the result of a search for a sophisticated, organic harmony. The table is a limited edition with only one hundred pieces, and it can amaze any eye for its highly sculptural character.

The rectangular top is made of solid bamboo wood, a particularly light material. The two supporting bases develop from the top like an origami, with panels of different shapes. The inner surface of the table has a black shellac finish, which creates a pleasant contrast of lights and shadows. The use of bamboo gives lightness to the piece of furniture, but it also provides solidity and robustness to the entire composition.
