The Ryoba table, designed by Piero Lissoni for Porro, celebrates the authenticity of materials and the irregular aesthetic of wood. The structure consists of thick triangular legs, forming a sturdy trestle on which the substantial top rests. The top is made of solid planks, each slightly different, joined with a simple dry joint, available with a thin gap or adjacent to each other.
The table's slender proportions, in harmony with the natural size of tree trunks, create an atmosphere of intimate conviviality. The displayed cracks and embedded woody knots emphasize the intrinsic poetry of wood craftsmanship, reinterpreted in a contemporary key. The Ryoba table is offered in various versions, featuring an anodized aluminum structure that mimics the brass effect and a top in solid white cherry, black-stained ash, or olive ash.
