The iconic Baby Cab chair by Cassina, designed by the architect and designer Mario Bellini, represents, through its sophisticated design, the means through which humans can express themselves and organize themselves to gain awareness and connect with themselves and with the domestic landscape, as defined by the designer Bellini. In this version, the dimensions of the seat are reduced compared to the Cab 412 chair.
Baby Cab is the first seat made entirely of leather, where the material itself serves as the supporting structure. In the process of seeking a connection between oneself and the object, the designer associates the human skeleton with the supporting structure of the chair and the leather material with the human epidermis.
Comfort and elegance come together in this chair to create an icon of style, celebrating the quality of Cassina's craftsmanship. The seat covering is made up of twenty-one layers of leather, die-cut and joined together to form the self-supporting structure. Everything is assembled with zipper closures.
